While in Tanzania we wanted to recruit more Lifeguards, and so had multiple meetings at Coco Beach with the interested applicants. We realized that given the hours, our lifeguards are likely to have other jobs as well. This means we will probably need to have a larger roster from which some can choose to work each day. It is clear now that recruiting and keeping the lifeguards is going to be a key factor in succeeding because, once we've trained them, they'll have access to other lifeguarding job opportunities as well as ours.
