On Saturday, March 15th I am hosting a Swim-a-thon with 10 of my friends to raise money for Tanzania Beach Lifeguards’ 2025 budget! We had a very successful year in 2024 and hope to keep the success going through this year and in the future. Our goal is to initially raise around US$15,000 in the month following the swim-a-thon, and US$35,000 over the course of the year. Of this budget:

$20,000 of this funding will allow us to maintain the lifeguard coverage of Coco Beach every weekend and public holiday, continue training and certifying new lifeguards, and keep hosting swim training clinics for local schoolchildren and children with disabilities. 

$15,000 will expand our efforts by incorporating Msasani Beach into the program and beginning to place lifeguards there.
