We have created safety posters to put up at Coco Beach. Here is the direct translation of their content:

"TANZANIA BEACH LIFEGUARDS

Things to Keep in Mind When at the Beach

Do not swim alone.

Swim near lifeguards stationed at the beach.

Do not drink alcohol and then enter the water to swim.

Do not leave children unattended.

Follow instructions from beach lifeguards.

Be cautious of changing sea conditions—waves and wind.

Safety Flags at the Beach

Yellow and Red Flag: If you see these flags, it means you should swim in the designated areas where lifeguards are present. It is safe for swimming.

Red Flag: Swimming is not allowed in areas marked with red flags as it is unsafe for you.

White and Red Flag: If a lifeguard raises this flag, it means you should leave the water immediately as it is very dangerous."

These posters should be effective in warning people what and what not to do at the beach!
